Step-by-Step Sign Up Guide
Our Step-by-Step Sign Up Guide will take
you through the steps needed to sign up
for a SiteDesignWorks website. Please read the directions
to the left before continuing:
1. Register
a Domain Name.
2. Choose
a Website Style.
3. Choose
your Added Options.
4. Fill out
an Online Contract.
5. Send
SiteDesignWorks your artwork.
6. Finalize
customizations with SiteDesignWorks staff.
7. Add text
to your website using the Text Wizard.
8. Enjoy
your new website!
1. Register
a Domain Name.
The first
step to getting your personal website with SiteDesignWorks
is picking out your Domain Name. This is your online
address, for example, www.yourdomain.com. Register a
domain name
If you already own a Domain Name and would
like to have SiteDesignWorks build and host your website,

2. Choose
a Website Style.
Review
our unique Website Styles and choose the one that works
best for your needs. View our styles.
3. Choose
your Added Options.
Decide
which of our many added options you would like to use,
to
enhance the appearance and functionality of your website. Read about Options such as Image Transfer, Portfolio Categories,
Contact and Order Forms, and more.
4. Fill
out an Online Contract.
Now that
you have gathered all the information you will need, you
can fill out our secure Online
Contract.
Note: You will NOT be able to log into
your account until we have finished production on your
website. (See #7 below)
5. Send
SiteDesignWorks your artwork.
Once SiteDesignWorks
receives your contract, we will email a Welcome Kit to
you.
The Welcome Kit details the steps you need to take to finish
the signup process, including how to label and size your
artwork for your new website. Once we receive your
artwork, we will place your project on our Production Schedule
and email you when your site is ready for review.
IMPORTANT: For customized websites, see
Step 6 before submitting your artwork.
You may have an unlimited amount of images
on your website. SiteDesignWorks will optimize and
add the first 17 images to your website for free!
You may also include a copy of your business logo, which
we will work into your website's Identity
Banner.

6. Finalize
customizations with SiteDesignWorks staff.
If you are customizing your website, your artwork submission
should indicate that you are planning to customize your
site. Please request that an SDW staff member contact you
to finalize your ideas and cost. We
will give you a quote for the time needed to
make your changes and send a Custom contract to you for your
signature. A 50% deposit of the quoted fee is required
prior to production for customizations.
7. Add
text to your website using the Text Wizard.
When
we have completed production on your website, we will
put
it
online behind a Placeholder. You will receive an
email with a link to view your website in progress, as
well as
a link to your online account, the Text
Wizard. You will have a week to review the website,
make any alterations necessary and add text
using the Text Wizard.
At this time you will also enter page titles,
keywords and a description for your website in the Text
Wizard. For a one time $35 fee, we will submit your
new website to the major search
engines.
8. Enjoy
your new website!
When
your week review is up, your website goes live to the world!
Your monthly hosting fees will also begin on this day.
